The bright summer sun, the blue sea, and white sandy beaches. River adventures and chasing beetles. In Goto’s summer, fun comes easy.

But in winter? Many people think there’s nothing to do. That Goto is only a summer island.

Search “Goto in winter” and you’ll mostly find things like sea views, church tours, and good food. That’s all nice—but I believe there’s more.

Winter has its own charm, its own kind of experience. And I want to offer that. I want people to know this is a place where that kind of stay is possible.

It’s not just about showing guests what’s happening on the island—events, people, places. It’s about taking them there.

That’s something we can do because this place is run by a very human kind of host—me—who’s always around and loves getting involved.

I can connect guests with the island locals. And during the quiet season, I’ve got time to make those moments happen.Right now, I drive people around in my old beat-up van—but someday, I’d love to have a better ride to welcome even more guests.

And winter camping? It’s amazing.Cold nights, warm fire, hot pot—it’s all part of the fun.

Goto in winter isn’t just for watching or tasting. It’s for meeting, doing, and trying.Come experience that kind of trip.
