A harbor scene overlooking the blue sea and green islands. A quiet landscape of a small harbor surrounded by a breakwater, fields, and white clouds floating in the sky.
Walk into the wild straight from our doors! Enjoy the ultimate local nature experiences.

❍ Experience fishing from a breakwater, from catching the fish to cleaning and eating it!

Let's take a leisurely 5-minute walk to Kaitsu Fishing Port, just a short distance from the inn, and go fishing. We'll provide all the necessary equipment, from the fishing spot and techniques to cleaning and preparing your catch afterward. The target fish is the scorpionfish (Arakabu), a high-class fish! But it's simple enough that even beginners and children can enjoy it.

A woman smiles, holding a small fish she caught at the harbor. She is wearing a brown hat and beige winter clothing, and a blue fishing rod and calm waters are visible.
GET IT!
Two people are fishing at the harbor at dusk, their rods in hand. The sunset is reflected on the water's surface, and clouds float in the calm sky.
Enjoy a shifting tapestry of views that changes beautifully with the time of day
Outdoors, whole grilled fish and skewers are cooking over a fire, and in the background, people are sitting around looking rather dazed. It's a relaxed atmosphere.
Once prepped, they’re perfect for deep-frying or making miso soup. On this day, we grilled them over charcoal!

*Wearing a life jacket is recommended, but not mandatory.

❍ A New Sensation!! Snorkeling Fishing

*For those with snorkeling experience

Just a three-minute walk from the inn lies the secluded Kaitsu Shrine. In the rugged, rocky sea right in front of it, we'll try our hand at fishing while snorkeling (looking into the sea). The rocky terrain makes getting in and out of the water difficult, so it's best suited for intermediate anglers, but watching the fish bite the bait is an addictive and exciting experience! And of course, if you catch something, you'll get to eat it!

• What is included

Snorkel mask / fins / complete fishing gear / gloves / life jacket (bait is shellfish found nearby)

Items to bring

Swimsuit / Sandals (water shoes) / Drinks, etc.

Adults: ¥4,000 Children: ¥3,000 (Experienced children only)

• Estimated time: 2 hours + filleting and cooking (negotiable)

A tranquil coastal scene unfolds, with the blue sea and mountain range as a backdrop, showing two people in wetsuits preparing to snorkel in the shallow, rocky waters.
The ocean is only a 3-minute walk away. Mind your step as you enter the water.
In the rocky sea, a brown fish with white spots bites at the bait at the end of a green fishing line. The scene is calm underwater.
Bite, set, and CATCH! Scored an Arakabu!

❍ A secluded island formed by volcanoes! Saganoshima Trekking Tour

Just a 5-minute walk from the inn, take a regular ferry from Kaitsu Fishing Port for a 15-minute ride. Why not explore Saganoshima, an island shaped like a gourd? This island is actually packed with geological value, boasting a unique formation that is rare even on a global scale. It's also considered a sacred place even within the "Goto Islands, a holy land for fishing," and is a dream destination for serious anglers from all over Japan. Let's go and experience the atmosphere of this "island within an island," where the flow of time completely changes the moment you step onto it!
