Staying at a fancy hotel, hitting all the tourist spots, and eating out with friends is always fun. You can't go wrong with that. But why not try something different? Why not focus your trip on the local insight of the owner?

GIVE ME FIVE -camp & stay- is a campsite and guesthouse where I, the owner, live on-site. It’s not a private rental or a formal hotel with a front desk. Instead, I’m always just "floating around," chatting and connecting with my guests in the same space. It's a real, human experience.

Today, let me introduce a fun group of four who stayed in our 1F "WA Room."

From the moment they checked in, their excitement for the Goto Islands was contagious—they all greeted me with huge, beaming smiles! On their first night, they headed back to the city center to go bar-hopping. Exploring the island’s nightlife with a few drinks is always a great idea!

On the second day, they returned to the guesthouse around 5 PM after some sightseeing. I suggested, "The sunset at Takahama beach will be stunning today, you should definitely go see it!" But... they completely ignored my advice and fell fast asleep in their room!

While I really wanted them to see that sunset, it honestly made me smile. Knowing that my place is cozy enough for them to feel that relaxed and drift into a deep sleep is the best compliment I could receive.

For our "Goto Beef Bonfire BBQ," we hand-pick the best seasonal ingredients. This time, fresh broad beans were the star side dish! They enjoyed the feast while chatting with some French campers—a perfect example of the "once-in-a-lifetime" encounters we love here.

When I went to clean the room after they checked out, I found handwritten notes from each of them! It turns out they weren't just friends, but four siblings. Their messages were so full of energy and warmth; they truly healed my soul. I’ve added their notes to my "Treasure File" and will cherish them forever.
