Their 3rd visit! You might wonder... is Goto really that much fun?

Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and now Summer 2025. This time, our returning crew gathered in Goto from Tokyo, Nara, and even included a new member all the way from Okinawa! It’s not exactly the easiest place to get to, so seeing them travel all this way just to stay with us—it truly, deeply warms my heart.
Most people might think, 'Once you’ve seen the main tourist spots, isn't that it?'
But that's where they’re wrong. One 'encounter with a local' is all it takes to flip that script. The more time you spend here, the more unexpected adventures you stumble upon. That’s how you truly fall for the bottomless charm of Goto.

By total coincidence, the traditional Peron boat race was happening in our Miiraku district during their stay. I invited them to join, and of course, with their amazing spirit and light-footedness, they jumped right in!
They blended perfectly into my circle of Goto friends—even though it was their first time meeting. By the end of the day, they were so fired up they said, 'Next year, we’re forming our own team and competing!'

Campfires,
Goto beef BBQ,
chilling on the beach or at the guesthouse,
handmade udon,
making wood-fired pizzas,
farming... the list goes on!
It was a jam-packed 'adult summer vacation.' I spent as much time with them as possible, introducing them to my close friend—the free-diving master—and other local 'uncles' around the island. I believe that connecting our guests with these local people is one of my most important roles as a live-in owner.
Honestly, it’s hard to offer this level of deep connection during a first-time trip. That’s why I believe the more you visit—two, three, or many times—the deeper into the real Goto I can take you.
We can’t wait to have you back again soon!
Let's make your next trip even deeper. Give me five!
