On March 15, 2026, GIVE ME FIVE celebrated its 2nd anniversary.

I am grateful to all the customers, islanders, friends, family, and everyone involved.

thank you.

A man wearing beige overalls and a gray sweater sits on top of a green drum in the middle of a grassy field. A bamboo grove is visible in the background. The weather is sunny.
I'm Teppei, the owner of GIVE ME FIVE.

This winter, I spent three months barely working, trying to update the guesthouse.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

❍1F Veranda Room

- Cut the slatted bed base shorter.

- Making a U-shaped table and log stools

- Introduction of Eames chairs (reproductions) and production of low tables

- Installation of lighting by Isamu Noguchi

- Manufacturing of closets and sliding doors

I'm thinking of reducing the space around the bed to expand the room and rearranging the furniture so that people can relax more in the room, open the shoji screens, and enjoy the atmosphere of the veranda and the view of nature.

White futons are laid out in a Japanese-style room. Shoji screens and wooden furniture create a calming atmosphere. Natural light softly illuminates the room.

A quiet space with wooden counters and stools. A shoji screen hangs in the background, letting in soft light. The color scheme is natural.

The closet door is slightly ajar, and several white hangers are hanging inside. The surrounding area is white and wood-grained, with an English poster in the upper left corner. The atmosphere is quiet.

❍2F Athletic Room

- Introduction of an off-white tent ( from @hana_temarisou )

- Introduction of snake rug mats

We will continue to think about how to create a space that is enjoyable for both adults and children.

A room with white walls, a colorful hammock, a white teepee tent, and blue cushions. The wood-grain floor gives it a warm feel.

❍Living area

- Making cement pots and log speaker stands

- Selling handmade pottery made by my dad

- Visualizing the sale of shampoo/Kaminyu from @tsubakino.goto and salt from @satouno.shio , which are used in the inn.

- Reset the cajon, and introduce @_harenatsu 's animal book.

I've started selling my dad's pottery. I want people to feel free to pick up shampoo and salt too. I want to create a pleasant space and gradually increase the number of musical instruments that everyone can enjoy.

A houseplant is placed on the left, and on the right, a charger and smartphone are on a wooden stand. An electrical outlet is visible in the background of the wooden wall.

Colorful ceramic bowls are neatly arranged in a wooden cabinet. The glass door design is striking and harmonizes with the bright wooden floor.
made by my father
On a wooden shelf, there's a brown bottle labeled "SHIZUKU," a blue bottle with a red illustration, and a white bag of salt. It's neatly organized and colorful.

A globe and a colorful cajon are placed on a wooden shelf, with a photograph of a stray cat in the background. The texture of the wood creates a warm atmosphere.

❍Camping Area

- Production of pallet tables and introduction of wooden chairs

- Introduction of string lights

- Making a drum can bath

We completely changed the image from the previous wild atmosphere, where we simply hung lanterns on deer antlers, to our bonfire and Goto beef BBQ. (Although our original wild-leaning mindset led us to build a drum can bath.)

An outdoor campsite at night. A wooden table with a lamp and two chairs. In the background, the light of a light bulb shines through the trees amidst the fire.
Bonfire BBQ scene
Under a blue sky, black drums and wooden pallets are piled up in a grassland. An animal skull is stuck on top of one of the drums. A peaceful rural scene.

Besides that, there's also the insulation of the walls and repainting with white paint, and so on. My desire to be recognized got in the way, and I ended up just tracing the words. I'm nervous about whether the updates I thought would be good will actually pay off. And a tuk-tuk will be arriving by boat from Thailand. I don't know if it will be a huge hit or a complete flop, but I'm going to be the most childlike and chase after the excitement so that I can continue to get more high-fives from customers.

A white tuk-tuk pulls up in front of a decorated temple. The temple has a blue and gold roof, creating an impressive scene under the clear sky.
coming soon!

On the day of our 2nd anniversary, a repeat customer, who was visiting for the fourth time, came to the island. There was a party at the home of a local free-diving mentor, and we dropped in on the fun.

Looking forward to another great year!
